These books serve as a historical look at the village of Libhost, in the Czech Republic, during World War I and World War II. It starts with activities of the Czechoslovakian legions and the introduction of Libhost’s legionnaires, then broadens out to a description of village life during the wars as told through a variety of documents, authentic materials and rich pictorial documentation. The goal here was to develop a look and design that payed homage to the depth of history as well as the importance of this time. The key for the publisher was to make this clean, appealing and highly readable…on a tight budget.
